Artists Bio:

 

Darren and Mike Stafford grew up in Northern Minnesota where the two brothers in their childhood enjoyed camping and being in the outdoors. These fond memories of nature were the catalyst for their passion to exploring new wilderness places. After moving to Colorado their passion for the outdoors grew and they began climbing mountains, backpacking, skiing, canyoneering, and almost anything related to exploring Colorado's mountains and Utah's deserts. In their backpacks they carried cameras to record their experiences and capture the unbelievable sights they were experiencing. As their experience in the mountains and canyons developed, so did their photography skills. Before too long they were hiking and backpacking in remote corners of the backcountry exploring places with sometimes little or no trails far from other people. It is in these spectacular areas, next to an alpine lake surrounded by jagged peaks or in a twisted canyon that they most enjoy capturing images. It is their aspiration that other people find these special places as inspiring as they do. With their photographs they hope to encourage other people to experience the great outdoors and appreciate the natural beauty that exists in the wilderness.
